It's pouring with rain today but yesterday was glorious and sunny. I drove past a village green and saw a cricket match in progress. Of course I thought of you.... My main memory or all those cricket 'whites' to be washed and teas to be made was the 'Redhill' incident. It was my turn to provide tea and I duly set too, making piles of ham sandwiches, sausage rolls etc. How embarrassed was I when you laughed and told me that the Redhill team mainly consisted of devout muslims who could only eat Halal meat! Well there was more food for the home team (not sure it had a great effect on the post tea cricket!) and the visitors tucked in to cake and strawberries and cream. I still cringe, but it made sure I did my research before hand after that!
